I install !joomlacomment and they looks very good and perfectly match my web site but I found 1 error. After I install component and include it on my news when I wrote coment I got notice: Request failed and in textbox text is gone and I got this:

<post>

<noerror>1</noerror><debug></debug><captcha>
</captcha></post>

After all coment is still post and can be seen in administration panel waiting for accept by admin.

What can I do to fix this problem?

Did you make changes to the language or template file?
Can you try it with the english language file?

Didn't even think about trying english version but now I change to it and it's working. there's something with translation. I will try to find on english version words and translate them to croatian.

This joomla is oficialy known as crojoomla so it's originaly packed with croatian frond and backend :)

Did you make changes to the template file? I see that you don't display:none for our "made by ..." so you must have edited it or?

Hi. And thanks for the stunning program!

To solved "request failed" problem you only have to remember to save all files in UTF-8 Mode!!
You can do this example with Microsoft NodePad

If you edit the template or the language file and not save them inUTF-8 it is normal to get this error messages. Ajax just crashes then.

Try again editing the files(start with using the original one) and then save them in UTF-8 with a program such as PSPad.

I try to use the english language and to save every file in UTF-8, but I still have the problem. Do you have an idea of where it can come from ?

Sorry to necropost, but I had the same error and found a round-about way of solving it.

For whatever reason, only registered users were experiencing this error, but not any of the administrators. So I got to thinking what settings affect only registered users and not admins - censored words! I disabled the feature and BAM - works fine now.

No idea why this would be an issue, but it worked for me.

Any chance updating to 4.0beta2. Are you using joomla 1.5 or 1.0?

Im really desperate - using JoomlaComment 4.0 beta2 and now getting erros:

on firefox: "Request failed"

on IE: "XLM document must have a top level element. Contact the support ! and send the following informations: error is line 0 position 0 >> GLOBAL:"

This component was running flawlessly for last 2 years and now Im getting these errors. I have not touch the web for seven days and the last comment is ca. 2 days old.
Does anyone have a clue what might be the problem?
you can try comment - it is this website: jirislama.com

Thanks for your suggestions

Jiri

ps: would it fix the problem to upgrade to the commercial component???

medaacek - Well I don't know if updating to CompojoomComment will fix it, but I guess so. Anyway - can you create an account for me on your page and I'll post a comment and see if I can figure out what happened. Maybe your hosting provider switched you to a new server?

So, I checked your website with ff7, ff10alpha and with chrome - comments were posted without any problems

On ie9 the comment was posted, but you needed to refresh the page to see it - this is a known bug that was fixed it compojoomcomment 4.2 .

I'm sorry but right now I cannot confirm the bug you experience. What version of ff are you using?

If you decide to upgrade to compojoomCommen please read the documentation first. It explains the best way to do the upgrade.

Kind regards,
Daniel

ff 7.0.1 and IE 8.0

many thanks Daniel, it is really strange as I still cannot get it work here but it might have something to do with the PC or net setting on the computer here at work, I will try again at home PC later and I will upgrade to commercial version. I hope it goes smoothly from the version I have right now and I do not lose any comments. Will read instructions carefully.

Thank you again for your time

Jiri
