I'm looking for information about this plugin and others. Is it in the documentations? is there a search I can use to find it in the documents? Im just having a hard time figuring out what this plugin actually does.

When you create a hotspot in the backend on the right you have the option to link this hotspot to an article, k2 item etc. The options that you have there are created by the plugins in the hotspots link group. If you need to be able to link to K2, then you need to enable the Hotspots Links - k2 plugin.
