Hi there,

I want to add a hotspot to an article, I enabled the plugin and added the code: {hotspots hotspot=222}

Unfortunately it doesn't show the marker, but only an empty map with the possibility to give in the starting point of the rout and the destination. Do you know if I'm doing something wrong here?

Kind Regards,

Erwin

Already find the cause, when I disable an other plugin (Multithumb), it works correctly :)

Kind Regards,

Erwin

One question came up my mind, is it possible to set the default zoom level for the marker? I can't configure that in the plugin...

Regards,

Erwin

The plugin should be using the default zoom level set in the global configuration? Isn't it?

Hi Daniel,

Uhm yes and no,
I use the default zoom level for setting the default zoom for the map which shows all of the hotspots. Then I want to list a single hotspot in an article, so a little bit more zoom is would be nice. I don't know if that's possible?

Kind Regards,

Erwin

I can add such an option to the plugin.

In the meantime you could use the "marker boundary" centering which will automatically determine the best position + zoom for the main map.

And this way you could set a high zoom for zoom to be used with the plugin.

Hi Daniel,

It would be very nice if you would add that to the plugin.
Thanks for the work around, I'll use that for now,

Kind Regards,

Erwin

A simple question, where can I find the "marker boundary" centering?

Kind Regards,

Erwin

It is in the menu settings? Menu -> your menu -> the hotspots menu item for default map.

Hi Daniel,

One thing came up my mind...
would it for the plugin be possible to only load the css/javescript when the view is in article only?
For example, the maps shows here correctly:
www.motorcamping.eu/nederland/limburg/in-den-hof.html

But if you go one level higher to
www.motorcamping.eu/nederland/limburg/
and look at the source, all the css/javascript is loaded, but that isn't necessary because it doesn't show a map there.

Kind Regards,

Erwin

Hey Erwin,
That is not nice of course... I'll try to see what I can do.

Daniel

Hey Erwin,
Would you please try the latest dev. release? Now the js should only be loaded if we have a hotspot in the introtext (on the featured view). This way if you add your {hotspots ...} code after the readmore we should not load any hotspots code on the featured view.

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I tested gitce79f9e and the js code still is there. I use the content plugin on the page:

mctest.de-wolff.eu/italien/marken/faranghe.html , which shows the markers within the content.

If I go a level higher to: mctest.de-wolff.eu/italien/marken/ the js code still is there, which is:

<script src=" maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?sensor=true " type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/fixes.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/spin/spin.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/libraries/infobubble/infobubble.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/moo/Class.SubObjectMapping.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/moo/Map.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/moo/Map.Extras.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/moo/Map.Marker.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/moo/Map.InfoBubble.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/moo/Map.Geocoder.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/helpers/helper.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/core.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/sandbox.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/modules/hotspot/hotspot.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/modules/menu.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/helpers/slide.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="/media/com_hotspots/js/helpers/tab.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

But, if I go to the parent level, which is: mctest.de-wolff.eu/italien.html , no code is there.

If you need more clarification please let me know,

Regards,

Erwin
