TOPIC: Linking hotspots to links

Hi. I would like to link hotspots to link.

Currently with the plugins it shows the ability to link to an article or to k2 etc.

I would like to paste a custom link in there and link to that.

Extending the functionality of hotspots.

Anyone have any ideas?

This is a riot. I've had Hotspots for about 12 hours (up all night building maps) and I had 1 feature request that will take Hotspots of the deep end for COOLNESS! Add in url's as an option for Hotspots to link to.

Here's what I want to do on my site with hotspots...
Link to Joomla contact and weblink
Link to a Jomsocial Event
Link to a Jomsocial Group
Link to Kunena Forum
Link to a Fabrik page (I have a Fabrik app that keeps track of mountain bike trails and other items), yes, fabrik has it's own mapping, but Hotspots is why better at the map part and if I could link a hotspot to the Fabrik item via the url that would be killer).

I could see countless Joomla components that could now be automagically Hotspot enabled if you could simply reference the URL of the component in a hotspot to pull up a specific item in a component.

Hotspots as it sits is WAY COOL and adding in URL support would be AWESOME!

That is awesome! If you share the code I can add it to the next release.
