TOPIC: Drop down menu instead of icons for map search

Would it be possible to have a choice of a drop down menu on the map tool bar at the top instead of just the icons.

I like the icon idea but when you are creating lots of catogories it starts to look messy

Yes, Kyle Ledbetter had a good proposal for this last year and I'll have to implement it sooner or later.
How many categories do you have??

I only have 7 catogories at the moment but i will need about 40 in the very near future, they will look like this example;

LPG Stations in Spain
LPG Stations in France
LPG Stations in Greece
LPG Stations in UK

It would be great to have sub catogories to make things much neater and tidy, like this example;

LPG Stations
Spain
France
Greece
UK

And yes that photo was taken in Heidelberg! well spotted...

yea, something like this. Only difference is that he had a more nicer - apple style design. Will have a look at this when I get back home.

Something like in Eliecer's pic is nice but with categories and sub categories That would be perfect for displaying large amounts of information in nice chunks, i would then just have the main icon displayed next to each main category with the sub catergories in plain text
