TOPIC: Version 5.0 - Hotspots Category Custom Icon Issue

First, THANK YOU for the nested categories which solves my issue of mapping various K2 categories and attaching various icons to those nested categories.

ISSUE - When CREATING A NEW Hotspot category within the EDIT A HOTSPOTS CATEOGRY in the HOTSPOTS - OPTIONS tab, I cannot select a sample icon. I select Choose a sample icon from the drop down and nothing happens. There is no pop up to select the icon as before or within a specific hotspot. If I click the SELECT next to IMAGE I am taken to my graphics folder within Joomla.

Are we to browse through the Joomla file structure to find the icons folder for Hotspots to select our icon?

Just want to know what the workflow is.

Could you please create a private ticket and give me access to your site. Normally when you select sample icon -> the sample icons should appear and you could select them as you are used to. In your case it seems that there is some kind of js problem preventing this.

Were you able to look at the category icon issue?

For the benefit of the other PRO users, I wanted to post the resolution on this issue. It was on my side, but you as a user may run into the same problem.

When creating or editing a category and assigning an icon from the sample library, AD BLOCKER will keep the icon library from appearing. The custom icon selection when editing an individual hotspot is different and AD BLOCKER does not affect that. Only when editing categories.

That still doesn't make sense to me. The hidden div that holds the icons has nothing to do with ads. The name is sample-icons . Why would adblock block it??? If anyone else is experiencing this, please let me know. I would love to have a look at your site as well!

You're right. It doesn't make sense. Apparently the AD BLOCKER had nothing to do with it. I was able to add one category with a sample icon but not a second one. When trying to enter a second one the icons don't appear. I had to go to a new window, open up the page fresh to be able to add another icon. It appears to be something on the reload? Something not clearing out?

I will continue to try different things to narrow it down.

This issue remains. Can add 1 category but not a second one with the custom icon.

Give me access to your backend again please.
