Hello,

My basic question is how do we implement HotSpots for a website that uses 2 languages ? for example Greek and English ?

The locations hotspot option has an field to select the language but the categories dont.

Plus that if you select for example Greek language on a location hotspot, then it is not shown in the frontend even though the site is in greek.

Joomla version: 2.5.11
Hotspots: 3.5

Thank you for your time.

Hey Alexander,
Unfortunately categories currently cannot be translated.

Hotspots on the other hand should work as expected. I'll try to reproduce the issue on my dev. machine and will let you know if there is anything wrong or if we should debug on your site.

Regards,
Daniel

Hello again Daniel,

1st of all i would like to thank you for your fast response.

What i am trying to explain and hopefully to make your searching easier is that i am following the standard method of multilanguage site for joomla 2.5.11.

I have not installed any component for that like Joomfish or anything else.

Again as a heads up i am telling you that if creating a location hotspot you assign it to english or greek language for example, the hotspot wont show. It will show only if you select All.

Again thank you for your time.

Alexander

Yep, that is the way it is supposed to work (no joomfish required). I'll test later today and will let you know. It was working in the past so I don't understand why it should not work now.

Daniel

Hey Alexander,
Please submit a ticket with access details to your site. I can't reproduce the behavior you describe.

I have a site in english & russian. I've set all hotspots to English & 1 hotspot to russian. When I switch to the russian version I only see 1 hotspot.

When I switch to the English version of the site I see all hotspots.

Regards,
Daniel
