I was set up a menu item for the maps and when I went into a location and tried to change the icon that it used as soon as I saved I got this error.

Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /cpanel could not be found on this server.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I tried to refresh the page and no go, I tried a different browser and the site worked but as soon as I tried to change the icon I got the same error. What is weird is that it only affects that domain and I cannot even access cPanel without getting an error.

What is going on? Any ideas??

Looking in the error log on the server this is what I see.

[Fri Jul 12 14:37:53 2013] [error] [client 67.60.20.183] File does not exist: /home/domain/public_html/406.shtml, referer: lewistonhan.com/administrator/index.php?...pot&layout=edit&id=1

Also I did get the error log off the site and here is the last error I got.

[12-Jul-2013 14:18:18 America/Chicago] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/domain/public_html/components/com_hotspots/views/hotspots/view.html.php on line 72

Digging further into this for what ever reason the map extension flagged ModSecurity with this error being reported.

lewistonhan.com 67.60.20.183 1234123413 [12/Jul/2013:15:26:18 --0500]
Pattern match "\\b(\\d+) ?= ?\\1\\b|[\\'\"](\\w+)[\\'\"] ?= ?[\\'\"]\\2\\b" at REQUEST_HEADERS:Cookie. [line "98"] [id "1234123413"] [msg "SQL Injection Attack"] [data "1=1"] [severity "CRITICAL"] [tag "WEB_ATTACK/SQL_INJECTION"] I have disabled mod_security for this domain for the time being but would like to know why Hotspot flagged this? P.S. Kunena SUCKS! Note how it added my last comment in the modSecurity error...[file "/usr/local/apache/conf/modsec2.user.conf"] [line "98"] [id "1234123413"] [msg "SQL Injection Attack"] [data "1=1"] [severity "CRITICAL"] [tag "WEB_ATTACK/SQL_INJECTION"]

I have disabled mod_security for this domain for the time being but would like to know why Hotspot flagged this?

P.S. Kunena SUCKS! Note how it added my last comment in the modSecurity error...

Have you created a menu link pointing to the default hotspots view (map view). After that you can create a link to the "submit hotspots" form.

And I don't understand the mod security alert? How did you decide that it comes from hotspots? I don't see anything that links it to hotspots, or am I blind? :)

I tried to reproduce the error but the same settings were not there. I had cleaned out some old extensions that was not being used and the one that I found likely to cause the problem was Gantry. It would not be the first time this bloatware caused me issues.

Case Closed...
