Hey,

I continued playing with the new great version of hotspot, and I've found few bugs related, in this case, with the search results tab.
- results are not in alphabetical order
- the yellow window showing the quantity of hotpots (markers) is hiding the submit bottom.
- there is gap / slide effect once you move the mouse over the results. Should not be just a change in the background? Keeping the new background color in case that marker is selected?
- the address [number and street] must be in one line, town and postal code in second line. ( maybe adding a after street? ) Also, eliminate the ',' after street, and after postal code.

Ok, I created a bug report for this:
dev.compojoom.com/issues/664

BUT:
there is gap / slide effect once you move the mouse over the results. - I would not call this a bug/problem - it is the way it is intended. When you move with the mouse we show additional information such as address and date and this pushes the other hotspots down. It doesn't look bad on firefox5 or IE9... Why is it disturbing you?

The address in this description there was intended to be in one line and not in 2. If you have a letter and somewhere in the margin there is an address - this address is also in one line and not in 2. However if you want to modify this you can use a template override views/json/tmpl/ I think that it was the list_description file.

The , is perhaps a bug... I should check if we have any information following and if yes, output it.

Hi Daniel,

Tested using Google Chrome 12.0.742.112 , Firefox 5.0, and Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421. The result is the same in all of them. The tested pages are:
http://vernonvirtualbc.ca/
http://demo.compojoom.com/hotspots

It could be cool if it is actually showing additional information once you move the mouse over, but the address is already there, and the short description as well. So, i don't know what kind of additional information you are talking about here. All i am getting is an empty line making the markers move up and down.

Before to start dealing with template override, I will wait for a more user friendly version (the actual version is awesome but I am dealing with 16 categories right now (and increasing), and as long as the search hotspot function remains hidden, my users wont have an easy way to find a category).

Ouch, If I have to use a movie quote: "Words hurt, you know?" www.imdb.com/title/tt0480687/

Even more user friendly... :)

Anyway - could you make a screenshot please? One before and one after, because I really see things that are showing after you go over the hotspot description.

Daniel

"I prefer a hard true than a soft lie."

At least applying the last sentence problems can be quickly fixed (generally speaking). =)
Imagine hotspot 2.0 in the way it is right now with 100 categories, and let's say I am looking for the last category (zoos). If I don't know about the search hotspot function located inside the right panel, and selecting Hotspot, i will have to click almost 200 times to finally find what i am looking for. Sorry my friend, but in this case, Hotspot 2.0 is not user friendly at all. sorry :-(
It's perfect right now for few categories but not for considerable amount of categories.

When the mouse is out of the right search panel this is what i am getting:

When the mouse is over the panel, this is what i am getting:

The only new thing I am getting is 'Submitted by on 2010-09-01 08:26:00'. Information that i am keeping hidden because I am not interested to show it. But as you can see: all the information is already there, nothing is showing / hiding with the mouseover effect.
