Hi

I have a forwarded domian to my main site (SSL subdomain) which does not show the map. Does not matter if I it is masked or not. Domain forwarding does not work. Have you got any idea what is the problem? Thanks

I have just received this answer from my hosting company.

"However this does not appear to be a forwarding issue with the domains rather a scripting issue to resolve the map withe the domain xxx.com. There is a possibility that you have a database set up and the map is located in that DB under a table. If the domain xxx.com is not mapped in the database than the information stored in there will not show up when the site comes up."

I hope that it helps to find the solution. I would like to know how can I "map it in the database". Thanks

Hm, well. You could try to load the map from an ssl url.

go to components/com_hotspots/views/hotspots/view.html.php

In this file I'm loading the google url for the map code. Change the http to https and let me know if it works then.If it doesn't I'll need access to your website to check it myself.

Hi,

thanks for your answer. It still does not work. I am sending you the FTP details in a private message.

You may use FTP from now, it is setted up.

Godaddy had an idea again. They told me to host the domain as a subfolder of my site (as it is pointing there)
So, I have removed domain forwarding and set domain hosting instead.

Find out what? It still does not work... :o

Btw I advise you to use godaddy just for the domains and go for a good web hosting company such as: www.rochenhost.com/

I looked at the sites and firefox showed 100000 of network errors. Why don't you just make a 301 redirect to the new domain. You know that google doesn't like duplicated content...
