Hi,

I'm getting a message after install saying 'Error building Admin Menus'.

But there is a message saying the component was installed successfully?

Is this going to cause issues?

Many thanks,

Peter

Well, the problem is that you don't have the menu in the backend. So you will have to manually type in the url
index.php?option=com_hotspots and that is lame.

I don't know why this happens, but what I've found to be a way to fix it is to go to phpmyadmin
go to the extensions table - find hotspots - remove all entries of it, then go to the menu table remove all entries of hotspots and finally the assets table -> remove all entries from there as well and it the installation after that normally doesn't create problems.

But why that brakes in the first place is still a mystery for me...

Cheers,
Daniel

Thanks Daniel. I will figure it out.

I've had to use a basic map module for now as time is against me! But I'm keen to use Hotspots in the future as it looks such a good component.

Hey Peter,
It is a bug in joomla 1.6 and 1.7:
joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker...racker_item_id=25663

If you don't do what I mentioned you won't be able to fix it...
Cheers,
Daniel
