TOPIC: Category ordering.

Dan, in Layout settings there is Category order.

I want when new hotspot is added into one category, that category to become first in the navigation tab. Is that possible?

that is an interesting idea! Don't you think that your users will become crazy when the categories start to change their positions all the time?

Maybe a better idea could be to show the last hotspot added on top of the right popping up tab.

the popping tab from the right? ....the tab coming out any time we seach for something, or just click on any category

The module that is coming next is great for new added hotspots.

The idea came because last categories will be always forgotten, so in this case, all categories will cycle and will be noticed as soon as somebody add marker

That sounds like a slot machine. :=D



I am agree with Daniel, 'users will become crazy'

If I am looking for 'Zoo', I already know that I have to go to the end, but if someone added a new hotspot under that category few minutes ago, that category will be the first one but I, as a user, won't know that.

Going to the last category, I am not gonna find zoo. As a result, I will leave your website because you 'don't have zoo in your listing'

A better solution could be to show the last added hotspot somewhere somehow, but i won't apply that idea to my map.

I was thinking today that a lot of people have ideas and we all have opinions and believes. But we never know if those things we believe are really going to be accepted the same way from other people. We need to find a way to get the users opinion. Create a feature, post it somewhere, let the user decide if it is good or not But creating a feature that you think that nobody is going to use is a pure waste of time - so there is always a conflict of interests

I personally do not see the practical application to display the last added hotspot, or the last category modified. If it's for admin purposes, you can check the dates at the backend.

Those who visit my site are looking for information, different options, and not just looking for the latest hotspot that has been added.
