TOPIC: Map not showing on J1.7

Hi I have just installed the latest version of HotSpots on a J1.7 and all goes well but no map is loading in.

Anyway. Found the link... Could you turn error reporting on please? The response that should load the hotspots is empty and because of that the map cannot center itself. It seems that there is a php error in the background that prevent the response from working.

Sorry for my bad explanation. Actually I meant php error reporting and not the joomla debug option.
If you don't know how, then please ask your hosting for assistance. Once you are ready get back to me.
(on some hosts you can enable it trough an option in the htaccess file, on another it is trough a php.ini file etc.) Ask them and they will tell you what to do.

It is different from hosting provider to hosting provider, that is why I'm not sure, but look around and perhaps you will see an option with error_reporting or so?

Hi Daniel I found this in the php5.ini

display_errors = 0 and changed it to
display_errors = 1

Is this correct?

I was able to download the error log files which I tried to attach but it has uploaded fine but when I click insert nothing happens.

Hi Daniel I removed via ftp and then reinstalled and disabled the ari colorbox and the error seems to be gone.

There doesn't seem to be any other errors showing when going to the map page.

Whatever you have on line5 it is not being taken into account.

Hi Daniel,
I have sorted the php5.ini file it was where I had tried to change the 0 to a 1 on error reporting i had lost a line. This and no other errors are now showing up in the log file but alas still not map either.

Ok, now it works. This strange behavior is caused by the nicegoogle+ plugin you are using. It modifies the ajax requests that we make and that is why your page was returning empty responses.
I've disabled the plugin and the map is now properly loading.
I also wrote a mail to the developer of the plguin to let him know of the incompatibility and what he has done wrong. I hope that he will be so kind to update his code.
