Hi,
:(

I have been building up my new website and Hotspots data on a test directory of the live domain .com/2014 and now moved the site to LIVE on .com
CMC is not syncing and also my PRO Hotspots Data has disappeared from the MAP. It's all there in the back end. Help!!
Any assistance would be appreciated, asking here first, I do not want to loose the data I have created so far.
Ta,
Joe

As far CMC is concerned - you need most probably to change the cronjob url.
As far Hotspots is concerned - it should work. I don't see any reason why it shouldn't. Without a link to the site though I can't tell you anything more.

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I have both modules on a page I can give you a link to, I do not want to post it here as it is a local UK directory website and don't want weird hits from you customers and forum users. Can I PM it to you?

Cheers, Joe

I had a look at the hotspots page. There are 2 things. First you encounter a js error coming from:
templates/timesfx/js/timesfx.js - seems to be a jquery issue.

After that the hotspots request that is made in the background to grab the locations returns a 500 server error.
Do you have any kind of SEF components? Or have you made any .htaccess modifications related to the URL? Are you sure that after moving the site to the root directory you've also updated your global configuration with the correct path to the tmp and cache folders?

Hi,

I will check the Jquery issue with the template company.

Hotspots and CMC were both added when I had the J3.2 version in /2014. I did not have any Xmap running in this directory.

The root directory did have a basic home page running 2.5.9 with Xmap, Index & Follow, with a URL direct on the .htaccess to sitemap.xml (via Xmap) and a follow sitemap in robots.

When I moved (everything working fine) from /2014 to root, all the old files & folders for the previous 2.5.9 were removed including the Xmap and .htaccess file (I still have this).

I have not yet added back in the Xmap and all is set to NoFollow/NoIndex.

Could this be a reason for a 500 error?

tmp and log folders have been changed by removing the /2004/ bit. configuration.php confirms this.

Cache is turned off and always has been on all my joomla installs. So not changed anything, could be a problem?

public $live_site = '';

Doing my head in! Why is this stuff so unnecessarily complicated!! Joy :(

No idea what to do about hotspots 500 error, so what can I do, if I uninstall CMC for example as a test, or do I just reinstall over the top again?

Cheers matey, appreciate your help.
