Hey Daniel,

I just encountered an issue on our web site. I have never seen this before, so I don't know how or where this error came from. But this is the error we are getting when we try and plot a hotspot. Do you know any fixes that we can do to get this working?

Thank you,
Shaun

When do you get this? When you click save or what? Have you modified the form code? (like editing the action?)
Daniel

Ya this happens when you try and plot a hotspot, like when you hit submit. The only part we edited on the form code was to allow a public/private and a delete option. But both of those were working when we had created them. This seemed like it just came out of nowhere lol

I even just replaced all the hotspot files to the original files and it still does the error. Is this something that could be related to the FTP or folder permissions possibly? I tried to make all the folder 777 for testing and it wouldn't allow me to do some of the folders but I did get the hotspots one to be 777.

So, just tested it with 3.3.1 and it works over here. What is the url that you've been redirected to?

We are still using joomla 2.5. We haven't made any major changes to the site or any major updates. We did update jomsocial to a newer version because of the bugs it was having, but I wouldn't think it would cause that since they aren't interacting at that point. We also installed sh404sef for SEO, so I don't know if that would cause it or not.

The url it is trying to direct to is www.fishjunkies.co/index.php/

So I don't know if it isn't directing to the actual hotspot url like it is supposed to, or if it normally directs towards the homepage.

Thanks,
Shaun

I ended up figuring out exactly what was causing it. I started to think about it more and realized that it was most likely the sh404sef because that was supposed to create short urls for all urls in the web site and I was thinking that it might not allow the hotspots to be created because of the urls or something. So I disabled it and it ended up working. I always seem to do this when I ask a question lol

Thanks,
Shaun

Well, I'm 3 hours late to the party, but when I read yoru first reply mentioning sh404 I thought that it was guilty for this :)

Cheers,
Daniel
