How can i change the width of the menu sidebar ?

in /media/com_hotspots/css/hotspots.css on line 98 you have

#slide_menu

change the width to a value that you want and let me know if that works

Is there a way NOT to show the whole item description in the side menu but only in the full item view ?

Did you place a readmore tag in your hotspots? The sidebar menu should show only the text in the readmore field. If you haven't placed the readmore tag, then it will show you the whole content.

If can i ask you something else..
Why on the frontend, description is using the editor and not a simple textarea ?
Is there a way to declare this, and how can i add a new label for Description ?
