TOPIC: Map Type Default to Satellite - yet retain options

How can I have the map open with a satellite map view, yet retain the choices for switching map types?

I see in the back-end where I can force a map type, yet doing that eliminates the choice while viewing a map - that's not what I need.

It would be great to be able to choose opening default type when creating menu to map or individual hotspot, yet retain the control within the map for changing between types.

Is this an existing feature that I'm not seeing?

If not, is there a change I can make to the code to default to satellite, yet retain controls?

I'm not sure anymore why it behaves as it behaves right now. I remember that few years ago when I was coding this, that was the way it worked(or there was a bug that I went around by not showing the "change map type" option). I'll need to have a look at this again, but it is definitely not a bug... I just can't remember what the reason was for this thing to work as it works.
