TOPIC: One Pre-sale Question

I was searching for a google map extension for my joomla website until I saw your hotspots demo at
demo.compojoom.com/hotspots#!/catid=1

I saw all the features I want (and much more) from your demo. Excellent Work!

One question I'd like to know before purchasing hotspots:

1) Are all the features displayed in your demo supported by Joomla 1.5 version of hotspots?

I am asking this question because it looks like your demo is made with Joomla 2.5 or 3.0, right? My website is built with Joomla 1.5.25. I do not have plan to upgrade to Joomla 2.5 or 3.0 in the near future.

Well, the latest version for joomla 1.5 is Hotspots 2.0.5 . The main difference with version 3 is that it is not able to load 100k locations.
With version 2.0.5 you'll be fine if you have no more than 500-1000 locations.

With that said - we no longer support joomla 1.5 (only 2.5, 3.0 and later that year 3.5). It is also a very bad idea to run outdated software, but nobody can stop you . So if you find a bug in 2.0.5 we are not going to issue an update. Update are going to be only in the latest version.

I have thought about upgrading Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 2.5. But I am a little bit lazy. Now, I have a good reason to do it.

I just upgraded my website to Joomla 2.5.8 during the weekend. Now I have hotspots 3.2.2 downloaded. Can not wait to test it on my website.
