URGENT:

Hi there,

I couldn't find any screenshots of the configuration screen online.

I have to show about 140 locations on a map. I have these locations on an excel file right now.

No locations will have any associated articles, nor will I any any driving directions or any funky features.

This is what should happen when someone opens the maps page:

They should see the map of downtown Toronto specifically with all the locations on it. By default we don't want any map labels showing up and it should always be at satellitle mode. No other options should display. So it needs to be kept very simple. I have 1 custom marker icon that I want to use for all locations. When a user clicks on a marker icon, it should only display the title in bold, and the address underneath, and THATS ALL. Nothing else.

Lastly, since I have the data in an excel file can I import it some hhow without having to sit there and type everything in?

I would appreciate if someone from CompoJoom can get back to me ASAP so I can make my decision. I have limited time.

Thanks

Hey Monis,
Well, most probably you'll need to do some modifications yourself. (like title in bold - you'll need to modify the css for this)

You can use your own icon for the marker, you can set satellite view.

Eliecer wrote a tutorial how to import the markers from phpmyadmin:
compojoom.com/forum/138-tricks/16485-imp...ough-phpmyad-v-2-0-5

If you disable the menu on the right, then you won't have the directions option, in the configuration settings you also have the option to disable the read more button.
You can set a start location (zoom and center) or you can use the automatic marker boundaries. Then the map will zoom out & center automatically to accommodate all the hotspots.

Also have a look at this:
compojoom.com/support/documentation/hotspots/ch05#idp121680
You'll need to enable the tiles, otherwise you won't see all locations in the map unless one zooms in.

That is all I can say.

Merry Christmas,
Daniel
