TOPIC: Adding maps, markers and adding it to articles

Can you please assist?

I am using Joomla 1.5 with Hotmaps 2.0.5

My website is www.journeyintoafrica.co.za . Let me give you an idea of what I would like to do and maybe you can give me the method of doing this:

On the main location pages, so for example, Botswana ( www.journeyintoafrica.co.za/safaris/botswana.html ) I want to add a map with multiple markers for each of the Game Reserves in Botswana. I want to include this on the article.

Then, on the Botswana Game Reserves page ( www.journeyintoafrica.co.za/safaris/bots...a-game-reserves.html ), I want to add a map with markers for each lodge in the area.

I have a few queries:

1. How do I actually insert the map that I create into the article
2. There is only 1 setting for all the maps to choose a start location. Thus when a map is seen the first time, regardless of where, it can only show 1 location until you drill down to the first chosen marker. Is there a way around that?

2: Go to the hotspots menu and select - map center -> by category map bounds. This should center the map on all available markers in the category.

Hi Daniel,

Unfortunately no matter what we do we can't seem to get the map to show within an article itself. This link does not work on Joomla 1.5 native.

The maps only seem to create in the menu which we don't want!

If it is possible to insert a basic map with a few markers into the article while using Joomla 1.5 then we could probably use this product but if not then I would rather ask for a refund as it has no use to me.

What Eliecer wrote in his tutorial is tested and it works with 2.0.5, but if you can't get it to work I'll of course refund you.

There is no other way to include a map with 2.0.5 and joomla 1.5

Thanks for your assistance but unfortunately it doesn't look like it will work for me. How do we go about getting a refund. Do you need anything from me or can you pick up and reverse the transaction on your side?

Ok, I just refunded you. Hopefully when you migrate to 2.5 you'll become a customer again
