TOPIC: waypoints, tracks and trails?

I am doing a site for hiking and boating and would like to be able to make a trail (lines to follow) on the map for people to follow and have it include waypoint markers as suggested places to stop and look at nature, eat lunch or setup a camping spot, etc.

Is this possible with Hotspots?

I'm sorry, but this is yet not possible.
Hotspots 3 is going to bring KML support - the other stuff will also make it, but not in April.

As you said, so actually there's not KML support. Isn't it?

Hotspots 3 has KML support already added. We are fixing bugs, polishing stuff so that once it is ready you can enjoy it
