i bought me "hotpots" to and i have the same problems.
what was the solution of it?

Most probably you are on joomla 1.5 and you don't have the mootools upgrade plugin on. Or if the mootools upgrade plugin is turned on - then most probably another plugin in your system is actually preventing it from doing its job.

Look at the source code of your pages -> click on the mootools.js file and if it says that the version is 1.12 - then hotspots cannot work. We need at least 1.2
