I've created a topic yesterday but seems something went wrong.

I can't enter the configuration. When I try to i receive this error:

\wwwroot\administrator\components\com_hotspots\views\settings\tmpl\default.php on line 58

See also the attachment

And when trying to add a hotspot from the frontend its:

To use reCAPTCHA you must get an API key from recaptcha.net/api/getkey

I get. I assume you can set this in the configuration?

Hey Jeroen,
Something went wrong with your installation - it seems that the settings table doesn't hold any settings.
Can you provide me with phpmyadmin + backend access to your site?
Daniel

Daniel,

Thanks for your reply. Maybe its good to know that i received a 'successful installation' message immediately after install. That was kinda misleading.

I have solved the problems.

1) In Joomla 1.7 you need to 'publish' the component after installation, my bet (newbie to 1.7).
2) did a cleaninstall twice and the second time it worked.
3) The default Joomla 1.7 Msqli was probably causing the issue, changed it to MySQL and works perfect!

Hey Jeroen,
Thank you for the reply! But I think that something else is wrong with your joomla installation. You don't need to enable the component after the installation - it is automatically enabled.

And Mysqli is the advised engine to use...

Anyway, I'm happy that it is working now, but keep in mind that other components will most probably also encounter such problems.

Cheers,
Daniel
