TOPIC: Where is the install guide?

While my installations seems to have gone well, I cant get any maps etc. to work. I get the following error:
You haven't created any categories
The category that you have selected in the menu settings doesn't exist - please check the id of the category again

Hey Hommy,
There is no install guide, because it is more or less not needed. In 99.99% the installation looks like this. You download the zip, go in your joomla install it, create 1 category, create few markers, create a menu pointing to the map and your starting category and that is.

Now in your case something has gone terribly wrong! From the error message it seems that your category table was not created.

I would suggest the following - try to install again and see if problem persist.

If the problem persist and you cannot solve it, I would love to have a look myself and try to install the extension for you.

So for you to assist with the installation; what would you require? FTP information? admin login to Joomla?

You can give me both. In fact it will be better if I have them both. Btw, since there is something wrong with the database access to phpmyadmin will most probably be also required.

I'm a little bit confused. I can't login into your website backend? I always get 500 - an error occurred.

Could you please check if the password and username that you've send me are correct.

Thank you for the mail. I was able to log in.

There is something wrong with your joomla installation! Did you try to install any other component on your website? It doesn't work. I tried components, plugins and modules. Adminpraise, admintools, cb - neither of them could install there.

My suggestion here would be - try to install an extension. If you find an extension that installs on your website and it is just hotspots that is not able to install, then I'll jump and spend days if necessary, but you'll get it installed!

Right now I see that the problem is not related to hotspots in any way so I don't want to spend time with.
