TOPIC: Thank you e-mail or message after submission

Hi, me again

I got everything alright I think, only after submitting a new hotspot, there is no "succes message". Is this possible? And maybe a confirmation e-mail to the submitter? That would complete this great component very much!

This is actually pretty urgent, I have to get this working today. Any help would be very nice!

As far as I know there is thank you message appearing after you add hotspot.

This is my string in .ini language - COM_HOTSPOTS_HOTSPOT_ADDED and its working perfectly in 1.5.

As far as I can see users get no confirmation e-mail after adding frontend hotspot under J1.7.

Tried it a few minutes ago. A bug?

It is not a bug, it is just a missing feature Only the admins are notified of this. And com'on - when you post a comment on a blog you don't get a thank you message for this?

Agree, could be a nice feature in future.
My answer was just a response on the written above.
I guess, he just resceived a "thank you" mail because of his user level.

Yep, it seems that I am logged always as admin and Im receiving that message

Dan, I would like to see this as well, at least thank you message would be good, so people are sure that they added location.

This aint a blog its a locator + directory, so thank you message makes you sure that you added successfully your hotspot.

I think this is a very nice feature, because now there is no sign at all that the submission is okey. I can't see any messages, should there be any?

A comment or blog is something what you do a lot, this submission is normally a very rare thing to do, isn't it? At least in my website a once in a lifetime thing...

Hope this is gonna be a featured item, but a thank you message would be nice too

Hey Carst, the user should actually see a message saying - hotspot submitted? Don't you see this? If you don't make sure that your template can output messages - this was a common problem when joomla 1.5 was released - a lot of developers didn't know that they had to include <jdoc type="message" /> in their templates.

BTW, the instructions to get only certain categories ready for submission on the frontend, works very fine. I'm very happy with that!!!
