TOPIC: Getting it Running

Hi - I am new and have installed the component, added a couple of categories and added a couple of sites to the map. I have published both the categories and the sites on the map but I don't know how to get the map to show up on to my site. What am I doing wrong? I put another google map on my site as well thinking the markers would show up on there, but no luck. Thanks very much for your help.

Hey Geoff,
Normally there is nothing special to do - you just publish the map and few markers and you are ready. In your case there is most probably some kind of incompatibility with something.
Would you mind sharing a link with us.

How do I indicate where I want to have the map show up? (what page, what position?)

Ok, I see it. You've selected the option to point the readmore button to an article, but instead of an article id you provide text in the long description field.
The next thing is that when the editor is turned on it automatically places characters like <p> in the database. So go to the marker, change the text to an article id (and do this when the editor is turned off - this way you won't get any html tags in the field)

This is a known problem and it will be fixed in the next version. I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.

One last question. What I really want is a google map to show up on one page with several markers on it showing where around the world our partners (we have about 40) are located. Will this do this, or does it just show up on the article page with that one partner. Thanks very much

Sorry - one more final last question. I have figured out how to have it go to the article, but when it does there is still no map on the page. Any ideas?
