TOPIC: Importing CB into Hotspots

I provided a positive feedback on the Joomla Extensions site. So first of all thanks for a great product. It is meeting my needs exactly.

My question is can the module automatically import the entire of my Community Builder membership (~500 members) directly into Hotspots eg., when they initially register or perhaps if already exist within the data. While this is not within itself a problem it would nevertheless be nice to have. Currently each member will have to add themselves!

There is no function right now that can automatically import all of your CB members in hotspots. I would also not recommend having 500 markers in 1 category right now. It will take probably several seconds to load the data. In the next version (1.2) we will make a better importer that will allow users to import all kind of data - for example from jomsocial, or from any db table. And we will have some algorithms in place that will improve the performance when you have a lot of hotpots.

Wow thats great! I am really looking forward to the next version - I will be needing to add lots and lots of markers and a way to import (such as through an excel doc) would be amazing.

I am just wondering, not to put any pressure at all (i love the current hotspots!), but when will the next version come out likely? in a year? 2-3 months? 6 months? 2 years? Just wondering if there is a general time
