What's the function of the Address search section?

It will be nice if you write an address and the map shows that location with a dot or something.

Well the point of the address is to show you the address and it does this. However you are right! It would be cool to have a marker there... I'm adding this to the wish list.

Thanks for the explanations.

1) Suppose We are showing few markers in the area where you are pointing the address.
2) You search for one address [using the Address search section] and all you get is a view in the map of that area with all the markers located in that area.
3) Without a marker for the [Address search section], the successful use of this feature is null because there is not a visual marker, only a visual view of the area where the address is located.

Question: Where can I remove this section?
