TOPIC: Upgrade from 0.9.4 to 1.0 stable

I have just downloaded version 1.0, but I scare to just "overinstall" the files by means of FTP.
What is the correct procedure?

Can I just de-install 0.9.4 in Joomla and install the new version?
Will the new version automatically take over the exsisting hotspots?

Hey Harmut,
First make a backup!!! Use akeeba backup - it is a good tool for this.

Once you are ready with the backup just go to the install manager and install the latest hotspots - everything should continue to work as before. Don't forget to clear the browser cache!

If something is not working - make sure to go to the settings page and store the settings again

But so far nobody complained about update problems.
