TOPIC: Cannot upload pictures in the front end!

I have to be logged in to be able to add a hotspot... so far no problem.

I can fill in all the data but I cannot upload images.
Hotspots shows a message saying that I have to be logged in to be able to upload images... so when I'm logged in I can access "Add a hotspot" and all the fields ... but the select image only works in the back end.

Any ideas?

Hm, I just tested it and was able to upload an image.
The setting in the backend is set to allow only registered users to post a hotspot.

I logged into frontend with my admin account, went to the form, filled all fields, then selected the image, entered the captcha and clicked on save - everything worked perfect.

Can you try again?

What is the image type btw?

When I installed Hotspots I could select pictures but not upload them because there where not enough rights in that folder ... I fixed that and I could upload images. Later you helped me to edit the files to show coordinates as info and we have adjusted php to save markers from GPS-coordinates instead of nearest address. I have also translated the language-file to swedish .... could any of that have affected picture upload?

Now when I am logged in the "Add hotspot" is enabled and I can fill in fields and save, but for image I get the following:
Picture: You have to be registered for uploading a picture
... i don't have the posibility to select image.
(problem exist in IE8 and Google Chrome)

I use .JPG images

In the back end there is no problem to add pictures.

Why does Hotspots think I'm not logged in when it can see that I'm logged in when I click add hotspot?

I mostly use Google Chrome ... but when I try IE8 it does not show a map when I click add hotspot?

Checked the configuration ... Only registered can upload images ... all people that login have to be registered first? ... When I change to Yes ... the select image button is enabled again.

So the "Add hotspot" check if a registered person has logged in ... but add picture does not manage to do that? ... a bug?

Since I have configured that you can not enter the Add hotspot tab without beeing logged in ... then you can not reach the add pictures button ... so the problem is solved?
Actually ... If only Registered can add hotspots then only registered is not needed in add picture ...(Yes/no is enough)

The problem with map not being visible is gone ...don't know what happened?

I think that I know what is wrong.
Go to the hotspots settings -> advanced settings->Frontend marker picture upload -> set it to yes and not only to only registered. There is the bug in the component.
