When I submitted a new hotspot from the front end, I found that the result of the hotspot description is not WYSIWYG (What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get).

In the first image below, you can see that there are four lines of description as well as a picture when creating the hotspot. However, in the final result (as shown in the second image below):

- The format of the four description lines is NOT the same as inputted in the editor
- The picture is not there.

Is this a bug?

Hey Huifei,
No, it is not a bug.
Go to joomla's "global configuration" in the backend. And there you'll see the filters tab. Most probably the user group that you used to post the hotspot is set to something that filters everything from the input.
The filters there control the hotspots input. (actually this is the way it works with extensions that follow the joomla API closely... it is a security thing - so make sure that if the public group should be able to post hotspots, they are no allowed to have <script tags and such in the text)

Regards,
Daniel

I changed the text filter on public to no filters but it still strips any of the basic html tags. is there something else I should do?
