TOPIC: Page white after a certain number of comments

When the number of comments reach a certain number then the url to the page become white, i had to disable the comments or to remove a comment to see the page again. Please How to resolve this ?
Also i have a quesion, there is a way to close comments in compojoom?

what do you mean with close comments?

What is this certain number? 20, 30 - how much? What were the comments that you deleted. Do you have any errors in your error log?

Thanks for your quick reply. The comments are more than 60, for the removed comments i diden`t see any special caratere overthere.
I`m affraid that to have the same issue with other posts because i can not check alll my 2000 posts if everything is ok:S: Is something like in wordpress, when you don`t want to receive comments in a post you can just close the comments for that post. The people will still be able to read the all comments for that posts but they can not comments. This will be a great feature if will be added to compojoom.

go to the backend -> in the settings you will find an option to disable future comments. Just enter the id of the article and the form will disappear in it.

Are you using pagination for you comments?
60 is not much(I thought that you will say 2000 or so ), but it depends on the server.
The next time this happen, please give us a link to the article and I'll check it as soon as possible.

What does the error log say? Turn errors on and give us the message.
Also - log with phpmyadmin and make a repair table - perhaps the table is corrupt.

Hi, I have a similar problem after installing compojoom. The page becomes white when reloading after the first comment was made. If I unpublish the comment in 'Manage Comments' everything is fine, if I publish it again, the page is white again. The tables are ok when checking with phpadmin. Firebug reports an '500 Internal Server Error', but the server error lpg shows no errors.

Hey Ulrich, are you on shared hosting?

Please go to your error log (you'll find it in your hosting panel) and post the error messages that you find there in the forum. They will give us a little more information about the problem.

thanks for your quick help. Indeed it was the memory limit set at the hosting panel. Now everything is fine =) .
