TOPIC: Comments not displaying on version 553 on J2528

Your support is appreciated in this matter.

I installed CComments 5.5.3 on Joomla 2.5.28. I can see all the comments, but when a new comment is published, it doesn't show up. Could some kind person, please help me find a solution?

I don't want to lose my comments at the time trying to resolve this issue. Is there a way to uninstall the CComments 5.5.3, or could I reinstall the previous version I had on Joomla 2.5.28 before I upgraded it to 5.5.3?

Und Basic settings in the opitons you should make sure that the it says: "complete uninstall": no. And when you uninstall the component - you won't lose the comments. However the issue most probably is going to be that the old version that you are going to install isn't going to work, because the table structure has been changed.

There is no version 5.5.3 btw.

Also the most common reason for the comment system not to show is a javascript error. So look in your javascript console. If you see a js error, then you know what's causing it. In most cases on j2.5 it was multiple version of jquery. If that is the case for you as well, you can installthe jquery Easy plugin, configure it and the comment system will most probably show.
