TOPIC: Problem with language installation

Brand new user of this Compojom Comment.

I succeded in the installation for the component but no way to install the french and arabic translation.

I should have missed a step.

How did you try to install the french version? I mean there are some not complete translation installed with the component. You should be able to find them in language/fr-FR/fr-FR.com_comment.ini and for the administrator
administrator/lanaguage/fr-FR/fr-FR.com_comment.ini

Concerning the files you mentionned, what can I do ? Manual translation ?

Hi,
The language files are installed automatically when you install compojoomComment - this is something that joomla does automatically (if we distribute the language files together with the component).

Isn't the frontend in french? I just had a look at the frontend language file and it looks fine?

Your are right : the front page is in french.
Not the back. Doesn't care.
But why do you propose these language files ?

I'm not sure that I understand your question?

Users have send me those files and I have included them in the package, so that other people won't have to make the translation themselves. you find errors in the translation, please correct them and share them with me. I'll update the language file and this way with the next time you install the component you won't have to do anything - it will be in french )

Happy to say that we finally are able to offer zip packages with the currently available language translations. Just download it from here and install through the joomla installer:
compojoom.com/downloads/languages-cool-geil?view=project&id=2
