TOPIC: Emoticons not showing.

do you know maybe why does emoticons don't show up? When I add comment, they show as :love: :smile: :thumbsdown:

Anybody had similar problem?

You've turned them off in the backend?

Emoticon (smilies) support is set to yes. Also, I just noticed, its working randomly. Some emoticons are shown, but most of them arent.

Hm, so when you are looking at the emoticon set in the backend - do you see an emoticon for the o_O combination? If you see such an emoticon, it will appear also in the frontend. If you don't see one, you have to update the emoticon set (or create your own one).

Look at components/com_comment/joscomment/emoticons - this is where the emoticon sets reside. You need to have a php file that defines the available icons and that is pretty much everything.

It seems that only simple set isnt working I just checked the .php and everything is good and written well, no errors and all the smileys are there.

I tried other set and its working. I wanted simple set, meh. I'll see what can I do to make it work.

Btw, any chance of translating "more" text in latest comments module?

I too am experiencing this problem. My emoticons (funny) don't display on the front end? Thanks for any help you can provide.
