Did you try reading our documentation?
compojoom.com/downloads/downloads/compoj...omment/documentation

In few words:
You have to download compojoomComment 4.1.7.zip from here:
compojoom.com/downloads/downloads/compojoom-comment

Go to your joomla backend, go to extensions->install/uninstall click browse, find the downloaded packe select it -> click upload and install -> after this when you open an article in single view in frontend you should see the form to comment under it.

Cheers,
Daniel

Does your account have administrator rights or are you just a manager or so?

Hey Sean,
You paid 30$ fee for a joomla component. This assumes that you have at least a beginner experience with joomla. Our component installs as the other 5000 extensions in the joomla directory. Read the joomla beginner guide and after that install it. It is just click, click and click and ready.

Read the docs that I suggested to you in my previous posts.

Nope Sean,
Imagine the whole thing like this. Windows is the operating system. Windows media player is a software that works on windows and on nothing else.

Joomla is the operating system - compojoomComment is a program that works only on joomla and on nothing else.

With joomla you can build your website - have dynamic pages write new articles etc, but you can't have comments under those articles. This is why you need compojoomComment.

Now the first thing you will need is time. The second thing is the will to learn. Get yourself joomla, follow the tutorials, get it installed, play around with it and your life will forever change. ;)

Cheers,
Daniel

Hm... not sure at what stage you are at...
Do you have Joomla installed?
If not, take a look here: www.joomla.org/download.html

Remember, look at the server requirements to get that in place.

Hey Sean,
It seems that web.com has their thing going and they don't support joomla.
Get a hosting plan for example with psek.com/ or www.rochenhost.com/ or cloudaccess.net.

Search the internet for free tutorials or invest some money for training: www.ostraining.com/joomla-training/

ouch! that means the person i talked to on the phone at tech support yesterday has no clue what they're talking about. they told me because i'm on linux that i would have no problem using joomla and it would be totally supported...

Hey Sean,
To be honest - I don't know - from the start page it seemed to me that they have their own kind of CMS. I've never used their services and since the tech support told you that you are on linux, then you are most probably on linux :)
Now if you have a database you could create a joomla installation there. Best thing would be to ask them per e-mail again or so. But first figure out how to install joomla on your localhost. Search on youtube for videos about this.

Hi Daniel,
I just paid for a subscription and am not sure which files to download. I am assuming the extension file is compojoomcomment4.1.8build149.zip but it says it is a maintenance update not the core extension. Could you direct me to the correct file to download?

Thanks

Hey Brandon,
Just get 4.1.8 - this is the core. If you had 4.1.7 or a previous version it would update it also. Just get the zip and install :)

Cheers,
Daniel
