TOPIC: Jomsocial integration display name/username

Hi,
I'm having some problems with the jomsocial integration for Ccomment. There is an option in the backend of ccomment which allows the setting of the username or name to be displayed in the jomsocial activity feed when comments are posted in articles. The integration is working but we are unable to get it to show username rather than name.

Isn't this supposed to be a jomsocial feature? All we do when we create the activity is pass the user id. Then Jomsocial should be rendering either a name or username.

The setting that you show in the layout is applied only to the comments and not to jomsocial. Look in Jomsocial for a setting for the names.

I have checked the jomsocial settings and they are correctly set to display username (see image).

If you take a look on the first image in the OP you can also see that this is working by the second post in the activity steam by Sim. Both the first and second post are by the same user but the first post (comments link) is showing the name of the user instead of the username.

Aaaaaaaah. You are right. Actually we have 2 jomsocial plugins. One that saves the activity in the database and one that renders this activity. The one that renders the activity is just using the name. I'll make an option in the plugin and will create a dev. release for you later today.
