TOPIC: CComments not displaying

Hi,

I have the new site demos4children.com running Joomla 3.2
CComments Pro loaded and installed was working fine. Also have a FB plug-in, the two were working ok together

Now, when using the 'Write Comment' navigation button to the article in question to leave a comment there are no boxes into which to place the text, i.e:
demos4children.com/criminalising-civil-p.../ccomment-comment=12

I have a sub domain test site test.demos4children.com/criminalising-ci...statement#!/ccomment which works fine

I tried checking the backed of both sites to check the settings were the same. They seem to be.

Any wise hep appreciated.

Many Thanks, demos4children.com now has its comments back.

On another note, the extension seems a bit bland. I dont know if it was this extension or another I was testing but the 'like'buttons for the comments were displayed differently. They were on the right hand side, above the relevant comment, with blue and red buttons which spun around for a short period when clicked. Given that the material placed on my site can be emotive, I like the idea of some fun elements such as spinning 'like' buttons. Is that a functionality i can switch on in ccomments?

Yep, few years back the buttons to vote was red and green.
The current template doesn't have such buttons, but you can customize the css file to make them red and green if that is what you want. The css classes that you need to customize are .ccomment-thumbs-down and .ccomment-thumbs-up

Hello,

We recently upgraded to the latest version and we have the same problem. When you click on "Write Comment" you are led to another page but the area where to write the comment is missing. When we view the page source, you can see that the ccomment is there but it's not appearing. We actually have upgraded it again to the latest version 5.1 but it still does not show up. If you go to our website ( www.project-management-podcast.com/ ), you can try clicking on the "Write Comment" and at the bottom of the page, the comment box is not showing up....can you help us?

You have a javascript error in the console. Have you updated something recently on your site other than ccomment?
Anyway - I'll try to issue an update today that theoretically should go around those issues.

Could you please try the latest dev. release. I have it running on another customer's website and it fixes the same issue, that you have on your site.
Let me know if it works. Don't forget to clear cache once you install it.

It's noted in the latest dev release to not install it in a production site and the site we're having a problem with is a live site. Is it safe to do so? Or did you mean to install the official release?

Yes, install the latest dev. release. It is the same stable release + few fixes.
