Hi,

Sorry for this question from a newbie but I didn't find any answer neither here on the forum nor on the documentation.

Is it possible for a user with at least "Publisher" rights to manage the comments from the front end ?
On my settings, I didn't allow the comments to be auto-published but I would like some publishers to be able to manage that from the front end.

Another question:

I would also like that the comments from unregistered users were not published by default, but those from at least "registered" users are autopublished.
On the settings page, I only see a "Auto-publish comments, Yes/No" but without any possible discrimination between the users rights.

Thanks ;)

In the settings of the component you have to select Publisher as the user group for moderators. When a publilsher logs in - he/she will see the comment and will have the option - publilsh/unpublish and delete.

The answer to the second question is:
"no it is not possible"

Thanks for your reply.

I selected Publisher as the user group for moderators, I added a comment as an unregistered user (it's not published). Now I login as a Publisher, where am I supposed to see a notification that a new comment has been posted ?
I received an email, that's ok, but I don't see any notification on the front end.

I will add my second point to the wishlist ;)

Hi Frédéric,
Normally you should see the unpublished comment. If you are using the standard template the unpublished comments will have 50% visibility.
Which compojoom comment version. Are you using?

No sorry I don't see any comment.
Do you mean that I'm supposed to see it with a 50% opacity on my home page, without the need of a module on which I must declare it ?

Current version is 4.1.7
My template is from YOOTheme

By the way, what is the purpose of the menu element called Compojoom comment ? I added it on a menu but when opened, it displays a blank page ...

You need to open the article and there you should see the comments. If this is not the case, please provide me with a link to your site and admin account.

OK, I see the comment if I go to the article.
I can also publish, modify or cancel it.
But this is not exactly what I wanted it to be: I'm looking for a way to centralize all the comments that are pending for approval through a restricted access menu ("Special" rights). Is it possible ? At first, I thought that it was the purpose of the menu element called Compojoom comment, but it seems not.
If you know FUAL component (Frontend User Article List), I'm looking for something equivalent for the comments (FUAC ?!!)

I'll send you an email with an admin login/password, it will be easier for you to see what I mean ;)
