hi - just installed comment - sweet and easy and looks like it will do everything I need - but one small prob - can't find any kind of guide anywhere and i notice that once i have clicked the "Comment" button the comment box pops up on every page of my site and there doesn't seem to be any means of making it go away - i would assume it should pop back down after submitting the comment but this isn't happening - what am i doing wrong?

Sounds like a template issue...
Got a link?

Hi Daniel,

Ok my problem is that once a user has made a comment and its posted I don't want the edit box to remain - at the moment it does this - not only on the page where the comment is made but on every page on the site - the comment remaining is fine - its the edit box not going away that is the problem! I probably wasn't clear enough about this.

I also don't quite understand what you mean about "other templates hiding in the forum" - I'm struggling to find any documentation for the product - maybe its too well hidden!! I'll take another look.

Try other templates in the Compojoom Comments component.
There are several there, including one that has a ajax (I think) function for collapsing editor field etc.

But, hm, "comments" inside the Forums? Are you sure about this? As this reminds me of a completly different problem in the Fireboard component some years back...?

the "comments in the forum" line was in an e-mail daniel sent me this morning - his line - not mine - think it might be a distraction - i'm sure this is very simple - you've got a great product but no kind of documentation at all - its probably just about template choices - i'll follow your suggestions and see if i can sort it out
