I am using k2 with joomla 1.5.11 It all works but the comments sections is difficult to use. I installed your comment tool. It cannot read the k2 catagories but instead reads joomla catagories,,, which i am not using. so the comments cannot get to there k2 articles.

any ideas or hack would be appreciated.

K2 is a rather full-featured suite for content construction in Joomla. What SOBI2 is for specific directories, K2 tries to be for the entire site. See the homepage over at k2.joomlaworks.gr/ or Extension Directory listing at extensions.joomla.org/extensions/core-en...ruction/8061/details

I have had a quick look at this extension myself as I found the all-in-one feature list quite compelling, but was turned down by it being relatively immature and new thus won't integrate well with other extensions I would like to keep.

It's also one of those "reinvent the wheel" addon which basically means that it's objective is to say "Shutup Joomla, i'm the new extension and I don't care about you - do it MY way!" because it is essentially another entire CMS running inside the Joomla CMS. So that kinda cripples my hopes of seeing JoomlaComment work with K2. However, it's still "finding it's niche" in the Joomla builder community, but seems to have taken favour with many Weblogger/News sites.... Maybe JoomlaComment integration could do good things for the success of both K2 and JoomlaComment ;)

I might take another look at using K2 along with SOBI2 in future, not sure. If I end up using it, i'll write a K2 plugin myself if I have to  but until then, I guess we'll see if the original poster and anybody else is still interested to see if we need this created sooner :)

sorry to digg up this old topig but im also interested in this "functionality" ... your comment tool is really impressive and i'd really like to use it with K2.

Any news/suggestions (deep integration is not a problem).

Thanks for the help :)
