TOPIC: J1 upgrading to J1.5 - Can i save my coments?

well i am having to upgrade from J1 to J1.5
Is there anyway for me to save all the comments i have?

Still searching, many options.. maybe "sticky" some of the best upgrade instructions?

Well, just uninstall the old version (make sure that the option to delete the database tables is NOT set). Then install the new version and ready. This is the update procedure

edit: I just saw that you want to upgrade from Joomla 1.0 to 1.5 .Just make a dump of all joomlacomment tables using software such as phpmyadmin and then import the dump in the new database. After that install joomlacomment in joomla 1.5 and you should see your comments in frontend.

Hello. I would like to migrate from J1.0.15 where I am using JoomCommnet3.26 to J1.5 and use the newest version of compojoom comment, is that possible?

Well, yes you can use your comments from 1.0.15 - you will need maybe to make some small db changes (but I think that if you follow the right update path explained in the documentation, you'll be fine).
Now the thing is - 1.5 is going to go out of life pretty soon... So you will need to one time migrate to 1.5 and then migrate again to 2.5...Or you can just go 1.0 to 2.5, but you will need some php + db knowledge... In any case 1.5 is not the right version number anymore

Sorry to post a reply in a old post. We have a very old site in joomla 1.0 and want to upgrade to joomla 3.2.
We have migrated all content except joomlacomments. What procedure we need to follow.
Do we need to first migrate to joomla 1.5 and then 3.2.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
