Hi,

I am starting to use !JoomlaComment 4.0 RC1 on a trilingual website. The component detects these three languages automaticly and shows comment windows in the right languages. The German and English windows are almost perfect. But in the Russian window appears a mix of English and Russian terms - which could be confusing for some Russian website visitors. Also the "send" button is too short for the Russian term "отправить". You can see it here:

Is there a solution for this?

Hey there,
The russian file is missing the necessary translations. You will have to open it with utf8 aware program such as pspad and add the missing translations.
Best wishes,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

thanks for this advice. What is the name of this Russian file, and where can I find it?

Best regards,
Joom Laner

In the meantime I have found a file "russian.php" where I could translate two of the remaining English words. In this file I only couldn't find the English terms

"Your Contact Details:", "Message:" and "Security".

By the way, in the German version are the first two terms translated. Where can I do this for the Russian version?

If you compare your Russian version to the English version, you will see where the missing Your Contact Details is to be placed, as you can also do with the other missing words.

Look towards the end, and just copy over everything from /*new in 4.0 beta1*/ and /*new in 4.0 beta2*/

I also see that there is probably 2 previous lines that are missing, so it might be an idea just to look closely over this.

Thanks a lot for this advice, now it is almost perfect. I want to attach the file in case the developers want to include it into the next version...

...how can I attach a file? When I select a file to attach and click then the button, the term " " appears, also in the preview. But when I submit the message, it disappears. In the Russian comment window, there is still one small issue remaining: The "send" button is too short for the Russian term "отправить". So I am using the abbreviation "отправ.". It works, of course, but it would be better to have a longer "send" button.[file] button, the term " " appears, also in the preview. But when I submit the message, it disappears.

Yeah, there are some upload difficulties... but try first with a differnt browser.
You should ZIP the file first too.

Even still, the system here will still claim there is a fault, but it works.

As for the extended Send button... hehe  well, that is thing for JonusC or Daniel. I'm not on that level yet...
