I´m about to install joomlacomment4.0beta2 and mod_comments4.0.0alpha3 in my live and I´m using Artio Joomsef 3.5.1 and would like to know if there is any known issues (bugs) related with Artio joomsef?

I did search the forum but couldn´t find any significant information about this.

I can´t test this in my local site so I will try directly in my live site.

Thanks!

I've never tested it and I cannot remember of other users telling us something about it.
I guess it should work fine, since if it was not working somebody would complain :D

I´m getting ready...

I have upgraded the live site to Joomla 1.5.15, installed a bunch of other extensions upgrades and aparently solved all issues.

I´ll make a full backup of the live site and the next step will be the intallation of joomlacomment4.0beta2 and mod_comments4.0.0alpha3.

I´ll keep you posted here.

Hello Daniel!
Both Module and Component are installed, published and working fine. :woohoo:

Here a sample of the url generated by Artio Joomsef 3.5.1 for the mod_comments:
http://www.rogeriocouto.com.br/pt/equipamentos#josc1

and here the url generated for the component:
http://www.rogeriocouto.com.br/conteudo-aberto/dicas/filmes-musicais-e-documentarios.html#JOSC_TOP

Now I just need to find out how to make the "Read More" link appear before the "Write Comment" link. I´ll do a search in the forum for this.

Best Regards!

Hi,

I´m always getting the following message inside mod_comments the first time the page is loaded:

No valid database connection Unknown column 'equipamentos' in 'where clause' SQL=SELECT c.title AS category, c.id AS category_id, a.title AS title, a.introtext AS item_desc, a.id FROM jos_content as a LEFT JOIN jos_categories AS c ON a.catid = c.id WHERE a.id = 7-equipamentos

When I reload the page this message goes away.

What kind of behavior should I expect from the links on mod_comments module?

Is it supposed to link directly to the comment itself or the commented article?

Although I get that message that I mentioned before, the link send me to the comment and not the article. Is this right?

Thanks!

It depends - look at your settings. If you show the latest comments - then the module should point you to the comments. If you show the most comment articles, then the module will point you only to the article.

I´m using the latest comments feature and the behavior of the module is very erratic.

The generated url depends on what I do just after posting the comment.

If I refresh the page where I just posted the comment then I get the correct URL but if I visit another page (lets call it page X) then a wrong URL referring to this new page is generated.

If there is a comment on page "X" then the URL leads to the comment on page "X". If not, then the wrong URL will lead to the correct comment on the correct page.

I´ll carefully read the topic that you pointed but I´m not a developer... :(

btw I´m using Artio JoomSEF 3.5.1

Thanks.

I read the topic you indicated and edited the line 194 of
/administrator/components/com_comment/plugin/com_content/josc_com_content.class.php

like this:

Daniel Dimitrov wrote:

you have this:

$contentId = $contentId . '-' . $mod_data->alias;

change it to
//$contentId = $contentId . '-' . $mod_data->alias;

The module seems to be working correctly now!!! :woohoo:
