TOPIC: How to use component and module?

I am not able to understand how to use component and module?
I want to display same as you have shown in demo site.
How can I give the link for write comment? Is it in this component or module itself or I need to make 1 link which redirect on this component?

Please provide me guidelines asap...

Go to the joomla website and click the documentation tab - you will land on a wiki page. On this wiki page find out how to instlall components and modules. This is all you have to know to run joomlacomment

But I know joomla well and working for long time so I know how to install components and modules.
I have installed component and module and I wanted to know is that if I want to give link the same as you have shown in demo on front page "Write Comment(480 comments)>>" for the article, then is this link I need to make on my own and then link it to this component or it will directly added after installing component.


When I have installed this component in my local computer it is uploaded with some error n shown like timeout but then also it was uploaded but now when I try to upload it on my site its displaying error like "The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log." and not uploading this component. Can you tell me why this is happening???

Obviously there is a problem with your Joomla instalaltion. Try installing manually via FTP folder to get around that, or read the Joomla Documentation and reconfigure your webhost with proper permission settings.

And make sure the FTP Layer in Joomla is enabled, as recommended by the First User Install Guide PDF. If Joomla has no FTP layer installed, most extensions (especially larger ones like this) are hit-and-miss with installing. Even if it does install, there's a 90% chance it will be installed with incorrect permissions.

"error n shown like timeout" doesnt help much.

To get the 'Write Comment' link you install JoomlaComment and then enable the plugin, that's it. You can configure it all in the JoomlaComment backend parameters. It's all common stuff really, there's nothing "strange" about JoomlaComment.

The module isn't required, it's an optional extra.

Well go to the JoomlaComment backend and find the setting for "Show Write Comment link" and play with those settings.

I don't understand what the issue is. You are saying you know enough about Joomla, but you are having problems installing, so...... I don't know? We've said everything already

And I know joomla there is no doubt in that and the problem is with this component not with my knowledge

As I already said... this is a permissions or a server problem, you need to either enable the FTP layer in Global Configuration and reinstall, or if it still isn't working then use the manual upload-to-FTP-folder then install-from-folder instead of the direct install-from-uploaded-zip method.

With your supreme Joomla knowledge you should have already known that - It's clearly stated in the docs as the failsafe method for picky or paranoid-security servers.

Oh - do you use sh404SEF? Incase you do, I sometimes have trouble with the Flood Prevention setting breaking component install, but setting it to 10/10 seems to be a fair setting.
