TOPIC: Matukio update to 2.2 Database problems

I just tried an update from 2.1 to 2.2 and had problems with the database tables. As it was a test site with only one category and one event I decided on a fresh instal.

However I have another live site and I want to ensure that the update doesn't cause problems. Have you any guidelines on updating?

Hi John,

did you have an event? The database is not correctly updated on empty installations. Also if you uninstall a extension the Matukio tables are not deleted (as a security feature), you have to delete them manually.

Thank you for the quick reply. I think I had one category and one event, but am not certain! I will do another test tomorrow and give feed back.

I have just done an update of a copy of the live site and have this error ..

An error has occurred.
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'values = '{0=START}{1=END}{2=ANMELDESCHLUSS}{3=NEVER}' WHERE title = 'event_stop' at line 1 SQL=UPDATE `j16_matukio_settings` SET values = '{0=START}{1=END}{2=ANMELDESCHLUSS}{3=NEVER}' WHERE title = 'event_stopshowing'

The update has therefore not worked but Matukio is still working using the 2.1 version
