When I activated the plugins that came with the installation, the website crashed and gave me the error below.

Both front end and back end has this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in /home/kreyole0/public_html/plugins/system/ecom360redshop/ecom360redshop.php on line 59

In trying to look into the issue and in a panic the Component folder was accidently deleted via FTP. Can you fix this issue on the back end? I just want to remove plugin and restore site to pre-installation status

Thanks

Hey Stephane,
I'm really sorry about that. There is a typo in the plugin on that line that somehow got into the file and it causes this error.
We've updated the package and corrected the error. You can download the new version here:
compojoom.com/downloads/official-releases-stable/cmc/cmc-1-3-1

Now I guess that you have this error all over the place so navigating to the backend to install this new version is currently not an option. Here is what you need to do.

Login into the database, go to the #__extensions table and then search for the ecom360 redshop plugin. Edit the entry and set the enabled field to 0. This will disable the plugin and joomla won't execute it when the page loads. So your site should load after you set the enabled field to 0. Once you have this. Just navigate to the backend -> extension manager and install the new version of the extension. The installation will update the necessary files and you can enable the redshop plugin again.

Again sorry for the troubles!
Kind regards,
Daniel

Hi Maxoid,

this was a CMC (our Mailchimp integration for Joomla) problem and is already fixed.

Best regards,

Yves

Hi Daniel - I finally got around to reinstalling the stable release above. Now I get this error when attempting to open componenet or plugins associated with CMC:

Fatal error: Class 'JControllerLegacy' not found in /home/kreyole0/public_html/administrator/components/com_cmc/controller.php on line 17

I'm running Joomla! 2.5.4 - Do i have to upgrade in order to make this component work?

Thanks

Hi Stephane,

yes you need at least Joomla 2.5.6 in order to get CMC working (in this version the MVC framework was updated).

Best regards,

Yves
