TOPIC: Custom Tile Issue

Hi,

I noticed that on the demo site under the Parks category, when you zoom out you see the green dots instead of the markers. I assume this is how the tiling works with large numbers of entries?

On my site, I have custom tiles selected and the map set to show only 20 markers. However, it doesn't show the dots in place of all the other markers past the first 20. I've used a custom marker, so that might be why? Also, I noticed that for some reason I have two category IDs (1 and 2), but only 1 category.

Hey Adam,
You need to actually enable the tiles. On the dashboard on the top right there is an options button (or somewhere in the toolbar on j 3.0) Click it and then enable tiles.

What do you mean with - you have 2 category ids, but only 1 category? Is the second category published?

Custom tiling is turned on under the options/map menu.

For the categories, I was referring to the URL link I provided

The catid=2, when I only have 1 category.

If you change the catid in the URL to catid=1, it looks like it finds an older category that I deleted or something. I think that is messing up the tiling. I currently only have one category listed under the Hotspots - Categories.

the url is catid = (catid). The category that you have in the db has the id of 2.

About the tiles. On the dashboard you have a small stats module -> it tells you how many custom tiles there are and there is a delete button. Please press it -> this will clear everything and new tiles are going to be generated. This should fix the issue with the missing dots
