TOPIC: Need info before buying it

I am having turkey news site and at this site i also show all turkey trips to all kind off places. This trips i load inside my side from an xml feed which i am receiving from the travel agency. The feed also having latitude information.
Question 1: Can this tool read this latitude information from my database? So it will show all the hotels at the hotspot map? Reading data from my database.
Question 2: When you click at an item there is always coming a popup with some info. Can i change this info by using a different template?

Hotspots 2.0 stores the data about each place in the database - but someone needs to enter this information in your database. (this is the same with version 3)

In Version 3 we also have KML support - so if the agency is sending you KML xml files, then you will be able to show them.

NO, you cannot change the way the infowindow looks - it is the standard infowindow from google and it is not easily modifiable.

Thank you very much for your fast answer. That sounds good. One more question, Which info will be showed in the popup. Can i show my xml feed or do i got to make this by hand?

look at the demo:

on the right you have - submit a location (you have nearly the same view in the backend). You need to enter the info and what you enter in the intro text will be shown in the infowindow.

For kml: developers.google.com/kml/documentation/ - I don't know what xml files you have exactly, but if they are in KML format in version 3 you will be able to just upload the file and it will be shown on the map.

Keep in mind that version3 is a in beta right now and I actually don't recommend using it on production sites yet.

To come back to your first reaction. You saying that somebody got to put the info inside your database. I have all the long and lat locations inside my database already. Can you just make a category and say look for locations in my database (ofcourse saying which field). Because i am really looking for something like this.

Currently you can't load marker data outside of the #__hotspots_marker table.

Again - if the agency is sending you a KML file -> you can load those files in Hotspots 3. If they are giving you some other xml format you'll need to import it into the database - no way around this.
