Hello
I'm interested in matukio component, but demo seems to work pretty odd.
I'd even say it doesn't work at all, as the only thing I can do is to enter name, e-mail, book an event, and get email with booking ID.
So I have couple questions in regard of component's features.
The usecase I'm facing goes like this:
1. user chooses an event, registers an account along with choosing form options
(customfields); he may change those options later, after he logs into his
account. Every time an user makes changes in his profile (and customfields),
an admin should get a notice

2. at a given time all registered users need to get a mail with pdf file,
containing their personal data, a barcode (or qr-code), and print it.
Instead of pdf inside confirmation e-mail, users may get a link to dynamically generated pdf file, containing all their personal data, options they have chosen, and barcode, or they could just print the data after they log into their accounts.

Basically, user have to have a way to print their personal data, options he have chosen, and barcode.

3. Admin has to have:
- ability to export list of users with their data ( peronal info, chosen options, barcode) in csv format (or any other format readable by excel applications)
- inform users about changes by sending a bulkmail

I see that incoming features list contains among the others:
- Export event-lists in more formats then csv
- Auto-generated tickets (with your design and barcode) as pdf, image etc.
- Custom registration and booking forms!
- Better Communication management, support for newsletter systems (like acymailing)
which covers all my needs. But I have no idea if all things I'd need are already implemented and working.

Could you tell me if I will be able to fulfill listed tasks by using matukio even with 3rd party extensions or joomla core functionality, or it's impossible at this time ?

ps. will you provide a fully working demo for frontend and backend ?

Hi Jay,

1.) You are notified if the user changes / cancels his booking.

2.) This is not possible at the moment - in one of the next the E-Mail management will be improved to allow adding attachments to mails. The confirmation E-Mails will also be improved in the next version.

3.) You can currently export / print a detailed event participant list to pdf including QR- and Barcode (if wanted), a list of signatures for the participants and export to csv file. Ticket generation wille be included in one of the next versions.

With the next version there will be a complete new standalone and 100% customizable bookingform. I'm going to post a blog post with some screenshots in the next day according to the current development status.

The demo site will be updated with the new release and then offer the ability to create / edit events and manage participants in the frontend.

Best regards,

Yves

Thanx Yves for effusive response.
Incoming changes sound awesome, and I'll be looking forward to see all of them.

Hey Jay, how's your project going? Sounds like a great idea for me. I think the barcode integration can really help make everything so much easier. If you see this, would you please get back to me cuz I wanna know something more about it?

Hi Sherley,

Matukio has a pdf ticket generation including barcode and QR-Code now. And most other things Jay has asked for two years ago are also integrated - take a look at the live demo (including backend access) of Matukio.

Kind regards,

Yves

P.S.: Please don't open two year old forum posts ;)
